Ambati Rambabu, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) criticised the former Government.
He said, during the reign of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) the biggest land scam of India happened in Amaravati.
Mr. Rambabu, the YSRCP Spokesperson, addressed the media and said, his Government is saying from the beginning that Amaravati is a big scam where 4,069 acres were purchased under Benami names.
Mr. Rambabu said the ACB has registered a case and is conducting an investigation, truth will come out soon.
Ambati Rambabu alleged the TDP changed the laws and committed irregularities.
The State Government has asked the centre to hold a Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) probe into the scam.
Ambati challenged TDP to approve for the CBI probe if they did not make a mistake.
Mr. Ambati said, “Lokesh has committed a scam of Rs 2,000 crore by giving tenders to benefactors in the name of fibre grid; the BJP should also seek a CBI inquiry into these two issues.”
However, he opined that Chandrababu is not ready for the CBI inquiry as he has done wrong.
