Andhra Pradesh COVID-19 Cases Rises, 43 New Cases In 24 Hours

The increased cases of the Novel Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) created panic amongst the citizens of the State.  The Andhra Pradesh Government reported 43 new Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.

On the 1st of April, the Andhra Pradesh Government reported 43 new cases in less than 24 hours, increasing the number to 87.

The new cases are said to be of the ones who attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation, a religious event organised in Nizamuddin, Delhi between the 15th of March to 17th of March.

According to the State Government’s released media bulletin regarding the COVID-19, 13 cases were of West Godavari, 15 of Kadapa district, Chittoor 5, Prakasam 4, 2 in East Godavari, 2 in SPS Nellore, 1 each in Krishna district and Visakhapatnam.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) arranged quarantine facilities like 5.45 lakh N-95 masks, 1.3 lakh personal protection equipment kits (PPE) and others.

Meanwhile, 373 samples were sent for COVID-19 tests.  Of the total 330 were negative and the remaining samples results are yet to come.
