The Election Commission of Andhra Pradesh, on the 13th of June, appointed K. Vijayanand as the new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Andhra Pradesh.

K. Vijayanad replaced Gopal Krishna Dwivedi, the former Chief Electoral Officer of AP. K. Vijayanand is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1992 cadre.

L.V. Subrahmanyam, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, issued an order on the 13th of June, as per which, Mr. Vijayanand will not hold any additional charges in the AP Government.

Mr. Vijayanand was taking care of the full additional charge of the Principal Secretary post.

Anoop Singh, the Special Secretary of AP, was given the post of the Principal Secretary.

As of now, the AP Government did not give any post to Gopal Krishna Dwivedi.

K. Vijayanand and Anoop Singh are expected to take over their respective charges on the 14th of June.
