On the 18th of July, the Andhra Pradesh Health department confirmed 3,963 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
With the new cases, the total reached to 44,609 cases till date.
Meanwhile, the number of deceased with 52 new cases reached a total of 586 in the past 24 hours.
With these updates, Andhra Pradesh has a total of 22,260 active cases, 21,763 recovered/discharged cases and 586 deceased.
Of the total 3,963 cases, 214 were from Guntur, Kurnool (550,) Anantapur (220,) Krishna (130,) East Godavari (994,) Chittoor (343,) Kadapa (145,) West Godavari (407,) Visakhapatnam (116,) Nellore (278,) Prakasam (266,) Srikakulam (182) and Vizianagaram (118.)
The top districts of Andhra Pradesh with highest number of the Novel Coronavirus cases are East Godavari with 4,202 cases, followed by Kurnool (3,138,) Chittoor (2,750,) Guntur (2,112) and Anantapur (1,823.)
In addition, the mortality rate of COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh is 1.31% , the average growth rate of the infection is now 9% from the previous 8% and the recovery rate now reduced to 48.79 % from the previous 52.85%.
Till the 18th of July, Andhra Pradesh conducted a total of 12,60,512 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.
The total population of the State as per 2019 data is 5,22,21,000.
