On the 9th of October, Andhra Pradesh reported 5,154 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
Of the total new cases, highest number of cases were from West Godavari (862,) Chittoor (757,) East Godavari (738) and Prakasam (486.)
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Health Department conducted a total of 70,521 COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 64,24,474.
In addition, total number of recoveries in the past 24 hours stood at 6,110.
Andhra Pradesh has a total of 7,44,864 positive cases, of which 47,665 are active cases, 6,91,040 are recovered/discharged cases and 6,159 deceased.
