Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) took major decisions after taking charge of the AP Secretariat on the 8th of June.

Jagan Mohan Reddy resumed office and signed three files which ordered a hike in the salaries of ASHA workers from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 10,000, the approval of the Central Government for Anantha Express Highway and journalists’ health insurance renewal up to Rs. 10 lakhs.

Mr. Reddy also expanded his Cabinet and inducted 25 Ministers, who administered the oath of office on the 8th of June, at 11:49 A.M.

During the ceremony, Mr. Reddy announced 20 % Interim Relief (IR) for State Government employees.

Mr. Reddy also said, an official announcement regarding the IR and the cancellation of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) will be made during the first Cabinet meeting, scheduled on the 10th of June.

Reddy also assured a hike in the salary of the outsourcing employees at the AP Secretariat.

All the major decisions will be discussed with the newly elected Cabinet Ministers during the 1st Cabinet meeting, scheduled on the 10th of June.
