The Indian National Congress (INC,) on the 22nd of March, announced its list of candidates contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Rahul Gandhi, the President of the INC, announced 3 candidates for the Lok Sabha seats and 45 candidates for the Assembly seats in the State.
The INC fielded Ramana Kumari Pedada in the Vishakhapatnam constituency, Narahrasetti Narasimha Rao in the Vijayawada constituency and J. Lakshmi Narasimha Yadav in the Nandyal constituency, for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking about the Assembly seats, the Party announced 45 candidates who will represent the INC in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.
Recently, the INC released its first list of candidates, which included 132 candidates for the Assembly seats and 22 candidates for the Lok Sabha seats.
Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 25 seats and 175 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections respectively, scheduled on the 11th of April 2019.
The major parties contesting the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh are the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) the JanaSena Party, the INC and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
The results of the elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
