The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Assembly session started today the 18th of November, Thursday. The Assembly session started with the oath taking ceremony of Ms. Sudha, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA,) who recently won the Badvel Assembly by election in A.P.

Mr. Tammineni Sitaram, the Assembly Speaker of Andhra Pradesh started the session with the oath taking ceremony at 11:00 A.M. After the oath taking ceremony, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) started the Assembly and is expected to table 14 bills to be passed.

The State Government would present 14 ordinances before the Lok Sabha during the session. The YSRCP Government would also discuss and the Women empowerment matter in the Assembly and the Council.

The YSRCP MLAs are all set to take serious matters and discuss various issues with the MLAs and Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) at the Assembly.

As of now, the Business Advisory Meeting (BAC) meeting chaired by Mr. Tammineni Sitaram decided to conduct the Assembly session till the 26th of November. However, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is demanding to conduct the session till the end of November, for 15 days.

In regard to this, the TDP staged a protest and asked the ruling YSRCP Government to extend the session till the first week of December.

The TDP also decided to boycott the Assembly meeting if not conduct for 15 days. In addition, the TDP also asked the YSRCP Government to change the anti policies which were implemented in Andhra Pradesh. In addition, the TDP asked the State Government led by Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to reduce the prices of fuel, Diesel and Petrol in the State by reducing VAT charges. Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the TDP to reduce the electricity charges also which are high in the recent months. The demand of discussion over the electricity charges have been rejected for the discussion at the Assembly by Mr. Tammineni Sitaram as of now.

The Assembly session has been organised till the 26th of November.
