AP CM Reviews Spandana Programme, Extends House Distribution Till January 20th

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 5th of January, conducted a review meeting.

The meeting was conducted regarding the State Government’s ambitious housing distribution and housing construction.

The House Distribution programme which started on the 25th of December, would continue till the 20th of January.

According to sources, so far 39% of house distribution have been completed in the State.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government directed authorities to complete the distribution of houses in 9,668 YSR Jagananna colonies out of more than 17,000 colonies. Collectors have been directed to take steps to resolve pending cases as soon as possible.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also said transparency in governance has been taken to the next level and it was directed to continue this even longer.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “A great event has taken place in the history of Andhra Pradesh. The name of each collector will go down in history. Minimum facilities like roads, electricity, drinking water etc., should be provided. Depending on the size of the colony, other social infrastructure should also be included. Schools, Anganwadis, parks, village, ward secretariats, village clinics should come. These should be arranged according to the size and population of the colony (sic.)”

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) launched the Spandana Programme which would provide houses to the less advantaged citizens of the State.

The beneficiaries of the Spandana programme decided by a lottery process and allocation of the lands and houses would be done by the 25th of MarchMarch 2021.
