Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh is on a visit to New Delhi.
Mr. Reddy is going to meet the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other union ministers regarding the Andhra Pradesh State related issues.
Another major reason for today’s visit is to tell the Central Government about the need to establish the proposed three capitals in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the State’s three capitals proposal would be a step to the development of all regions in Andhra Pradesh.
However, the proposal needs clearance from Delhi for the shifting of the Judicial Capital to Kurnool, Executive Capital to Vijayawada and Legislative Capital to Amaravati.
The Chief Minister is leaving no stone unturned to implement three capitals of Andhra Pradesh.
The Union Home Ministry has to give clearance for the shifting of the High Court in Kurnool.
In regard to the same, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government repeatedly appealed to the Union Government.
In addition during the visit, Mr. Reddy would also discuss the recent temple idol vandalism incident.
Both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) criticised the YSRCP for the incident.
The Pawan Kalyan led JanaSena even protested over the same.
Even the arrests have become controversial as cases have been filed against some of the BJP and the TDP activists. Of the arrested 17 people belong to the TDP and 4 to the BJP, in nine cases.
Considering the situation, the Andhra Pradesh CM is expected to submit a report on these developments too.
Meanwhile, the State Chief Minister and the Union Minister Amit Shah would also discuss the ongoing vaccination drive in Andhra Pradesh.
Besides Amit Shah, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to meet with the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
