Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will conduct their Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, on the 11th of April respectively. Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats, whereas Telangana will contest a total of 17 Lok Sabha seats.

The major parties contesting the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and the JanaSena Party.

In Telangana, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are the major parties contesting the Lok Sabha elections.

17: 44 P.M. : The polling in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the Assembly and Lok Sabha has been done.

The majority parties contesting the Telangana Lok Sabha elections are the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)

In Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the YSRCP, the TDP and the JanaSena Party were the main competitor.

The results of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections will be announced on the 23rd of May.

17: 17 P.M. : Nizamabad continues the elections in Telangana, as the number of MP candidates are 180 in the constituency.

17: 14 P.M. : It is expected the total voters’ turnout would reach 60 %, however the Election Commission of Telangana will soon reveal the voters’ turnout for the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

17:12 P.M. : Manchu Manoj, the son of Tollywood actor Mohan Babu casts his vote in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, for the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

17: 08 P.M. : Manchu Lakshmi, the daughter of Mohan Babu casts her vote in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, for the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

17 : 06 P.M. : Though Telangana Lok Sabha elections’ voting time ends at 5:00 P.M. Nizamabad is still continuing with the election process.

17: 02 P.M. : Tennis player Sania Mirza casts her vote in Telangana for the Lok Sabha elections.

16:59 P.M. : Tollywood actor Daggubati Venkatesh casts his vote in Jubillee Hills, Hyderabad for the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

16: 44 P.M. : Lakshmi Parvathi, senior N.T. Rama Rao’s wife casts her  vote in Andhra Pradesh.

16: 00 P.M. : Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, writes a letter to the Directorate General of Police (DGP) of Andhra Pradesh against the YSRCP leader who are indulging violence during the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

15: 49 : A.M. : The polling will continue till 5:00 P.M., whereas in Nizamabad it will be extended till 6:00 P.M. Approximately 180 MP candidates are contesting in Nizamabad constituency, out of which 179 are farmers.

15: 46 P.M. : Nara Lokesh, the Information and Technology Minister of Andhra Pradesh demands re elections in some of the constituency of Andhra Pradesh, due to malfunctioning of the EVMs.

15: 14 P.M. : Till now, a total of 55.5 % voters casted their votes in Andhra Pradesh.

15: 06 P.M. : Election Commission of Andhra Pradesh answer the allegations of Chandrababu Naidu and said, only 380 EVMs are not working in the State, which is 0.03 % instead of 30 % , which was said by  Naidu.

15: 03 P.M. : Buddha Venkanna, a member of the TDP protests in Vijayawada for the malfunctioning of the EVMs, in Andhra Pradesh.

15: 01 P.M. : High tension in Allagadda of Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, after Bhuma Akhila Priya, a member of the TDP protests on roads during the AP elections.

14: 55 P.M. : The poll staff of Chirala constituency forgot to delete mock polling votes, following which the agents and public observed extra votes and demanded re elections.

14: 36 P.M. : Mohammad Azharuddin, a former cricketer and the Working President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) casts his vote in Telangana, for the Lok Sabha elections.

14: 27 P.M. : JanaSena Party offers food, liquor and money to voters near the polling station at Etukur in Prathipadu constituency of the Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh.

14: 19 P.M. : Kranti Kiran, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) casts his vote in Andole for the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

14: 04 P.M. :  Actor turned politician Balakrishna along with his wife Vasundhra casts vote in Andhra Pradesh.

13: 59 P.M. : Brahmanandam, famous Tollywood comedian casts his vote in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, for Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

13: 57 P.M. : Till now, 46 % and 38 % voters turnout is recorded in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively.

13: 53 P.M. : K.Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, casts his vote in the Siddipet constituency, Telangana for the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

13: 51 P.M. : Approximately 41 % voters turnout recorded in Vizianagram in Andhra Pradesh.

13: 49 P.M. : The YSRCP members lodged two complaints against Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh  with the Election Commission (EC) of Andhra Pradesh.

13: 47 P.M. : Tollywood actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha cast their votes at a polling station in Nanakramguda of Gachibowli for the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

12 : 55 P.M. : Amla, wife of Tollywood star Nagarjuna casts her vote in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad for the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

12 : 54 P.M. : Y.S. Sharmila, the sister of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy casts her vote in Pulivendula, Andhra Pradesh.

12 : 52 P.M. : In context of increased violent and attacks, Mr. Naidu, the President of the TDP appealed all the political cadres to conduct polls smoothly.

12 : 46 P.M. : Renuka Chowdhary, the Member of Parliament (MP) candidate representing the Indian National Congress (INC) from Khammam constituency, casts her vote in Khammam district, Telangana, for the Lok Sabha elections.

12 : 42 P.M. : Voters turnout till 12 : 00. Noon. :

Srikakulam –  30 %, Vizianagaram – 35 %, Visakhapatnam – 33 %, East Godavari – 32 %, West Godavari 32 %, Krishna – 33 %, Guntur – 32 %, Prakasam – 33 %, Nellore – 32 %, Chittoor – 31 %, Anantapur – 30 %, Kurnool – 32 %, Kadapa – 30 %.

12: 39 P.M. : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister reported to the Election Commission (EC) of Andhra Pradesh, 30 % EVMs are not working in Andhra Pradesh, which is troubling voters in casting their votes.

12: 29 P.M. : Siddha Bhaskar Reddy, a follower of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Pulla Reddy, a follower of the YSRCP died during the clash at Tadipatri in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh.

12: 27 P.M. : The major parties contesting the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are the TDP, the YSRCP and the JanaSena Party.

12: 24 P.M. : TDP and YSRCP workers are having clashes across Andhra Pradesh during the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

12: 18 P.M. : Krishna district recorded a total of 24 % voters till 11:00 A.M.

12: 16 P.M. : Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Chittoor district recorded a total of 25.47 % voters till 11:00 A.M.

12: 13 P.M. : K. Rammohan Naidu, a sitting Member of Parliament (MP) of the TDP in Srikakulam, casts his vote in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh.

12: 11 P.M. : Kummarapalli in Chittmuru mandal is deserted with 0 voters, as the people there banned the elections stating no progress in the village.

12: 08 P.M. : S.S. Rajamouli, the director of Bahubali casted his vote in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad for the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

12: 06 P.M. : Till 12 :00 Noon, 33 % voters casted their votes in the Vijayawada constituency, Andhra Pradesh.

11: 54 A.M. : Two women voters were injured in Andhra Pradesh

11:50 A.M. : Clashes errupted between TDP and YSRCP workers in West Godavari

11:42 A.M. : K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) along with his wife casts vote at the GHMC Community Hall in Nandinagar, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

11: 35 A.M. : Sri Bharat, the Member of Parliament (MP) candidate of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)  from Visakhapatnam, casts his vote in Andhra Pradesh.

11: 33 A.M. : Till 9:00 A.M., 9.60 % voters casted their votes in the Kuppam Assembly constituency, Andhra Pradesh.

11:30 A.M. : Voting still not started at 164 polling stations of Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh.

11:08 A.M. : Till 10:00 A.M., 18 % voters casted their votes in Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh.

11:06 A.M. : In few Assembly segments of the ANantapur Parliamentary constituency has been stopped due to clashes between YSRCP and TDP activists. The activists also destroyed the EVMs in the constituency.

11: 05 A.M. : Till 11:00 A.M., voters turnout is 14 % in urban areas of Andhra Pradesh.

11: 02 A.M. : Shobana Kamineni , the former President of the Confederation of Indian Industry, did not find her name in the voters’ list in Hyderabad, Telangana.

10 : 59 A.M. : Two polling stations were locked in the Kadapa constituency, as polling agents were caught bribing voters while casting their votes. The agents were taken into custody and polling has been ceased in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh.

10: 48 A.M. : Actor Mohan Babu and his son casts vote in Andhra Pradesh.

10: 43 A.M. : Voters turnout in other states till 9:00 A.M., where the Lok Sabha elections are being held :

West Bengal – 18.12 %, Chhattisgarh – 10.2%, Manipur – 15.6%, Telangana – 10.6%, Andaman and Nicobar Islands – 5.83%, Lakshadweep – 9.83%, Assam – 10.2%, Arunachal Pradesh – 13.3%, Mizoram – 17.5%.

10:41 A.M. : Approximately 20 states are conducting the Lok Sabha elections for a total of 91 Lok Sabha seats across India in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, on the 11th of April.

10:37 A.M. : Till 9:00 A.M., 7.60 % voters turnout in the Kadapa constituency, Andhra Pradesh.

10:32 A.M. : Till 9: A.M., 18 % voters turnout in the Kaikalur constituency, Andhra Pradesh.

10:31 A.M. : Telangan is contesting a total of 17 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, on the 11th of April.

10: 25 A.M. : Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh writes letter to the Election Commission of India (ECI) regarding the non working EVMs in Andhra Pradesh.

10:23 A.M. : Actor Allu Arjun casts his vote in Telangana for theTelangana Lok Sabha elections.

10: 19 A.M. : Till 9:00 A.M., 10.6 % voters casted their vote in Telangana.

10:14 A.M. : Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party casts his vote in Siddarthanagar in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

10:11 A.M. : Assaduddin Owaisi, the President of the All Indian Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) casts his vote in the Hyderabad constituency.

10:08 A.M. : Till now 7 % voters have casted their votes in Andhra Pradesh.

10:04 A.M. : Polling was stopped in Gurazala constituency, after a TDP activist destroyed EVM in Srinivasapuram booth, Andhra Pradesh.

10:03 A.M. : As of now, the total voters turnout in Vijayawada west is 26 %.

10:00 A.M. : Arvinda Babu, a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate was attacked by an activists of Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in the Narasaraopet constituency, Andhra Pradesh.

Police  reached the spot and resolved the clash between the members, with a lathi charge.

09:55 A.M. : K. Kavitha, the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Nizamabad constituency and daughter of K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, casts her vote in the Nizamabad constituency, Telangana.

09:35 A.M. : Voters waiting in queue, as the ECMs in Visakhapatnam are malfunctioning.

09:31 A.M. : ANdhra Pradesh is contesting a total of 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats, on the 11th of April.

09:28 A.M. : Approximately 100 EVMs have glitches in Prakasam district of Ongole city, Andhra Pradesh.

08:54 A.M. : Citizens of Andhra Pradesh standing in queue to cast their votes in Amravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh.

08:52 A.M. : Kanna Lakshmirnarayana, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Andhra Pradesh casted his vote in the Guntur constituency.

08: 45 A.M. : Speaking to the media, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the President of the YSRCP appealed voters to ‘Vote for change, vote without fear.’

08:42 A.M. : Due to malfunction in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) voting has been delayed in  several constituencies and booths in Andhra Pradesh (AP.)

08:31 A.M. : Voters are asked to carry their voter’s slip issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to cast their votes.
