The Andhra Pradesh Government, on the 31st of December, issued a notification regarding the merging of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) with the State Government.
According to the official notification issued by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) all the RTC employees would be government employees from the 1st of January, 2020.
Besides, the 1st of January would also be considered as RTC Employee Recruitment Day.
Starting February 2020, all the RTC employees would receive salaries from the vault like all the other government employees.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., with this, fulfilled another promise made in his Party’s manifesto.
Approximately 52,000 RTC workers would be recognised as government officials. The RTC workers in A.P., thanked Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for fulfilling his promise and making them government officials. After the merging of the APSRTC and the State Government, all the workers of the RTC would get the same benefits as those enjoyed by government officials.
