AP Govt To Pay Full Salaries To Medical, Police And Sanitation Staff

The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government, on the 4th of April, announced to pay full salaries of those who are working towards the prevention of the Novel Coronavirus.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., decided to pay salaries without any deduction to sanitation workers, doctors, nurses, medical staff and police officials.

The YSRCP and the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) took to Twitter and announced the same.  Recently, the State Government decided to cut 60 % salary of the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs,) the Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs,) the Member of Parliament (MP) and other government officials.   The decision to deduct salaries of the MLAs, MLCs and MPs was taken to increase CM relief fund amount and use the money to fight against the COVID-19.

 Meanwhile, the State saw a drastic hike in the number of COVID-19 cases in less than 24 hours which increased the number to 180 cases till the 4th of April.
