The Andhra Pradesh Police would recruit 6,500 people for police jobs every year from 2022.

On the 6th of July, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Andhra Pradesh Gautam Sawang said, the State Police Department would recruit candidates filling 6,500 positions in police departments.

The large scale recruitment would be held in the  next three years, starting from 2022 Job Calendar.

Mr. Gautam Sawang asked youths of Andhra Pradesh to believe and assured job vacancies from next year.  With this, it would be the first time in the history of the Andhra Pradesh Governance, that they are willing to hire police personnel every year, with prior notification. 

During a press meet at Mangalagiri Police Headquarters, Gautam Sawang confirmed the appointment of nearly 15,000 Mahila Samrakshana Karyadarsis (MSK) women security secretaries in village and ward secretariats for the protection of women.  He said they would begin their training soon. 

Speaking of the Police Training Center, the Andhra Pradesh DGP said, as of now the training center has capacity to train only 6,500 people at a time.  Therefore after the training of the current batch, the 15,000 women security secretaries would receive their training.

The DGP addressed the media and revealed about the vacancies and job situation of the State Police to burst inappropriate false claims of unemployment.

In addition, Gautam Sawang said, in the last two years, the Andhra Pradesh Government under the leadership of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, recruited a total of 6,05,949 posts.  Of these, 1,84,264 were regular jobs, 19,701 were contract employment, 3,99,791 were outsourcing and 2,193 were recruited through the District Selection Committee (DSC.)
