Andhra Pradesh’s Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases continues to rise. According to the released media bulletin, the State reported the highest 22,399 new cases.
In addition to the 22,399 new cases, the State also reported 89 fatalities and 18,638 recoveries in the past 24 hours. The Andhra Pradesh Health Department also conducted 96,446 sample tests for the Novel Coronavirus infeliciton.
According to the released COVID-19 media bulletin, Andhra Pradesh has 13,66,786 positive cases, of which 2,01,042 are active cases, 11,56,666 are recovered/discharged cases and 9,077 are deceased cases.
It is to be noted, of all districts, East Godavari district has reported the highest 3,372 cases, followed by 2,646 in Visakhapatnam and 2080 in Anantapur district.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Government is trying to combat the spread of the virus and imposed partial lockdown in the State. The COVID-19 vaccination drive is also being carried out for people above 45 years old.
The Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, recently launched a COVID-19 children centre also. The centre would give shelter and take care of children who lost their parents due to COVID-19 illness.
