Botsa Satyanarayana, the Agricultural Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 12th of July, presented the AP Agriculture Budget.

Mr. Satyanarayana presented the Agriculture Budget after Buggana Rajendranath Reddy presented the AP Budget for the fiscal year 2019-2020.

The State allotted a total amount of Rs. 20,677 crores for agriculture related sectors in AP.

Below is the budget allocation in the field of agriculture.

• Rs. 580.29 crores for technical education.
• Rs. 100 crores for pension to AIDS victims.
• Rs. 2,707 crores for social security and welfare.
• Rs. 200 crores for excavation of borers under the YSR farmer assurance scheme.
• Rs. 8,750 crores under investment assistance to farmers.
• Rs. 1,163 crores for YSR free crop insurance scheme.
• Rs. 100 crores for YSR farmer insurance.
• Rs. 7 lakhs financial aid for the accidental death of a farmer.
• Rs. 200 crores for farmers’ subsidized seeds.
• Rs. 420 crores for agricultural mechanization.
• Rs. 90 crores for zero interest loan scheme.
• The animal husbandry department received Rs. 1,778 crores.
• Rs. 150 crores allocated for the development of the silk industry.
• In case of death of sheep, Rs. 6,000 will be given.
• In case of death of livestock, Rs. 30,000 will be given.
• Rs. 1,778 crores for the dairy industry.
• Rs. 100 crores for cattle grazing.
• Rs. 25 crores for livestock vaccination.

The State granted a total of Rs. 2,27,474 crores for the development of the different fields of the State.
