CBI Court Rejects Two Pleas Of AP CM

A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Court in Hyderabad, on the 17th of January, dismissed two pleas filed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is facing a trial in relation to a disproportionate assets case, filed two petitions. One petition sought the hearing of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) cases filed against him take place only after the completion of the hearing of the CBI case. The other petition requested all the chargesheets filed against him be combined into one.

However, the CBI Court rejected both the pleas and agreed with the argument presented by the ED about continuing the investigation of the cases filed by the ED and the CBI side by side.

The CBI Court hears the disproportionate assets case filed against Jagan Mohan Reddy every Friday in Hyderabad.

The next hearing of the case is scheduled to be held on the 24th of January.
