The Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) Court is scheduled to hear Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bail petition today, the 15th of September.

Mr. Raghurama Krishna Raju, a Member of Parliament (MP) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) filed a petition. In his petition to the CBI, the rebel YSRCP MP demanded cancelation of bail given to Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

This is the second hearing in the past one month. During the last CBI Court hearing on the 25th of August, the court adjourned the matter to the 15th of September.

On the 25th of August, the CBI Court reviewed the petition filed against the bail of the Andhra Pradesh CM. Initially, the CBI Court was scheduled to announce its verdict in the matter on the same day. However, after reviewing the case, the court adjourned the matter to the 15th of September, which is today (Wednesday.)

Today’s hearing is said to be a major event in the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh. People were putting bets, awaiting the verdict of the CBI Court.

It is to be noted YSRCP’s Rebel MP Mr. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju filed a petition to cancel the bail given to Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets and quid pro quo case. The case is still pending with the CBI and Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy has been given bail due to his responsibility as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He was also exempted several times from attending the hearing.

The issues between the MP and the Andhra Pradesh CM have been ongoing since Raghu Ramkrishna Raju was arrested in a sedition case on the 14th of May. He called out to the CBI and demanded a cancellation of bail against the YSRCP Chief Mr. Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

With this, the CBI Court is expected to give a verdict and take a decision regarding the bail of Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. However, there is an issue with the petitioner and the CBI Judge, who would announce the verdict.

According to sources, a day ahead of the verdict, Mr. Raghurama Krishna Raju filed a petition in the Telangana High Court (HC) demanding transfer of case to another CBI judge. He justified his demand, saying that Sakshi Media has already posted an article saying the CBI court rejected the plea and granted bail to Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said the published article would influence the CBI judge and would be unfair in taking a decision. Therefore, he would request the Telangana HC to transfer the case.

The Telangana HC reserved their orders and would likely announce it after the CBI court hearing today.
