Chalo Atmakur – Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh Under House Arrest

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh are under house arrest, ahead of the Chalo Atmakur rally in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

Chandrababu Naidu, on the 10th of September, called for a protest against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) for attacking TDP workers and leaders.

The Andhra Pradesh Police also imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in Palnadu region.

The Guntur Police arrested the TDP officials who came to meet Chandrababu Naidu.  The TDP leaders are in prevention custody.

On the other hand, YSRCP leaders also planned a counter rally against the TDP.  The YSRCP leaders said they will protest against their false allegations.

The TDP alleged the YSRCP of killing 5 TDP workers and threatening approximately 127 activists in past 4 months.  The TDP said the YSRCP Government is misusing its power and forcing the TDP workers to leave their homes in AP.

The rally is scheduled to start from the TDP office in Guntur to Palnadu, on the 11th of September.

However, the TDP leaders and its President are under house arrest.
