Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 9th of September, conducted a review meeting with the Women and Child Welfare Department.
During the meeting, Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the officials to ensure the welfare schemes launched by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) reach the beneficiaries in AP.
Speaking about the process, Mr. Reddy said the process and paperwork should be easy and quick, without any difficulty for the citizens of Andhra Pradesh. He further added every village secretariat should have a helpline for any kind of emergencies in the villages. Each village will get a sum of Rs. 1 crore for such emergencies, so that leaders can resolve issues immediately.
Jagan Mohan Reddy also asked the officials to release the compensation amount of Rs. 7.48 crores, which was pending from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) the previous Government of AP.
Jagan Mohan Reddy further asked the officials check the number of school dropouts and ensure children are enrolled in schools. According to sources, approximately 7,000 kids are not joining schools from Anganwadis.
Expressing concern over women’s health, Jagan asked the department officials to conduct the necessary tests to ensure the fitness of women in AP.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy chaired the review meeting, which was attended by YSRCP leaders, officials of the Women and Child Welfare Department and officials of village secretariats.
