On the 28th of April, Thursday, Mr. Vikram Reddy, the brother of the late Mr. Mekapati Goutham Reddy met with Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
It is to be noted that after the demise of Mr. Mekapati Goutham Reddy, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Minister, his brother Mr. Vikram Reddy is planning to enter politics. In regard to this, he met with the YSRCP President Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the party camp office in Tadepalli.
TAs per sources, Mr. Vikram Reddy was accompanied by his father and former Member of Parliament (MP) Mr. Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy. They sought the blessings of Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, ahead of the constituency visit. Mr. Raja Mohan Reddy said his son Vikram would be touring the constituency soon. After the meeting, they addressed the media and said, “Vikram had informed CM Jagan two weeks ago that he would be engaged in public service and it would be known who would contest after the by-election schedule.”
Meanwhile, Mekapati Vikram Reddy said that he has been involved in business for years and decided to enter politics and carry forward the ideals of his brother Mr. Mekapati Goutham Reddy. He further added that he would go to every house in Atmakur constituency and take the blessings from every family and follow the instructions of Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
It is to be noted, Mr. Vikram Redy would visit secretariats as part of the Gadapa Gadapaku YSRCP program launched in the Atmakur Assembly Constituency. The Gadapa Gadapaku program is a month long program to boost the YSRCP in the State and conduct mass interaction across Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, after the demise of Mr. Mekapati Goutham Reddy, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Atmakur, the seat fell vacant leading to a by elections in the constituency. The Election Commission of India (ECI) is likely to announce the schedule soon.
