In 2014, J.C. Diwakar Reddy was nominated as the TDP Member of Parliament (MP) candidate of the Anantapur constituency and won the AP Lok Sabha elections. He quit active politics in 2019 and in his place, the TDP fielded Pavan Reddy to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Anantapur.

Pavan Reddy will contest the elections against Talari Rangaiah, the MP candidate of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in Anantapur.

Talari Rangaiah retired as the Project Director of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) and joined the YSRCP a year ago. Rangaiah, like Pavan Reddy, is contesting the elections for the first time.

Anantapur is said to be one of those districts of Andhra Pradesh where people suffer from the scarcity of water. With the launch of the mineral water plants, the people residing in the villages of Anantapur will get clean drinking water.

Pavan Reddy also arranged several meetings with the lawyers and administrative personnel of the Anantapur district to understand the issues of the District and solve them.

Being a young candidate, J.C. Reddy is determined to resolve the issues faced by the youths of Anantapur.
