Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi Konidela took to Twitter and appreciated the Andhra Pradesh Government for administering the Wuhan virus vaccine to 13 lakh people in a day.

Mr. Chiranjeevi praised Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led Andhra Pradesh Government. It is to be noted, the A.P., Government vaccinated 13,45,004 people on the 20th of June, creating a record in India. The State Government released a statement regarding the same, which read, “At 8:00 P.M., over 1.3 million vaccinations have been completed across the State which is almost 50 per cent of the national vaccination drive. It is a remarkable achievement to show that our medical team and other staff can take up over 1 million vaccinations a day if (the Central) Government of India maintains the supply.”
The mega drive for the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination was organised in approximately 2,200 locations in 13 districts of the State. Of all the districts, East Godavari and West Godavari topped the list by administering 1.55 lakh and 1.54 vaccine doses, respectively. In addition, Krishna, Visakhapatnam and Guntur also crossed the one lakh mark each
The drive focused mainly on persons over the age of 45 years and mothers of children under five years. For this mega drive, the State Medical Department allotted 14 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses.
With this, Andhra Pradesh became the only state to vaccinate such a large population in one day.
Meanwhile, till date, the Andhra Pradesh Medical Department administered COVID-19 vaccine doses to 1.4 crore people.
