Nara Lokesh, the Working President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) on the 30th of October, participated in a protest against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)

The opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh are concerned about the shortage of sand in the State.  The sand issue became a topic of debate and protest in the State after many labourers and construction workers committed suicide.

Nara Lokesh staged a protest in front of the Collectorate’s office in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and demanded action regarding the shortage of sand.

Lokesh would continue the strike till 5:00 P.M., on the 30th of October.

Meanwhile, the YSRCP conducted a Cabinet meeting and reviewed the sand issue.  The YSRCP also alleged the TDP of fighting for the constructors of buildings, but not the labourers.

TDP leaders like Galla Jayadev, Nakka Anand Babu, TDP activists, workers and others also participated in the protest staged in Guntur.

Apart from the TDP, Pawan Kalyan’s JanaSena Party is also expected to protest against the YSRCP Government due to the shortage of sand.

The JanaSena Party leaders would, on the 3rd of November, take up a long march in Visakhapatnam for the workers.

Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party, also urged all the other parties to cooperate with the Party and support the march.
