G.V.L Narasimha Rao, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) spoke about a BJP and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) merger.
Mr. Narasimha Rao, on the 19th of October, addressed a press conference and questioned the stability of the TDP in Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
Mr. Rao, during the press conference organised in Vijayawada, said the BJP would not be strong if only a few members from the losing party join the BJP.
Recently, approximately 10 TDP leaders joined the BJP for their political career, as the TDP is losing its individuality in Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
Mr. Rao said Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the TDP, has no credibility and ideology and the Party is failing in the State. Rao also spoke about the merging of the TDP with the BJP and said if Naidu intends to join hands with the BJP, then Rao will talk to senior leaders.
The major agenda of the BJP behind merging with the TDP is to strengthen the Party in the State against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
