Mr. Pawan Kalyan, the Chief of the JanaSena Party, is on a visit to temples in Telangana, seeking blessings.

According to a JanaSena Party leader, the Tollywood actor turned politician Mr. Pawan Kalyan would visit at least 32 Lord Narasimha Swamy temples in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.  The visit named as ‘Anushtup Narasimha Yatra, would begin from Dharmapuri and Nampally in Karimnagar district.

The JanaSena Party further said, “He (Mr. Pawan Kalyan) will cover all 32 temples over the next few months.  This yatra, he believes, will give him the power to win the next elections with a good majority.”

The yatra started on the 24th of January, with a special prayer, performed by Mr. Pawan Kalyan at Lord Hanuman temple at Kondagattu in Telangana’s Jagitial district.  He started his yatra from the temple of Lord Hanuman which Mr. Pawan Kalyan believes is an auspicious place to kick start any activity.   He addressed the media after the temple visit and said, “This place has given me a new lease of life and I always consider it as a big omen.”

At Kondagattu temple, Mr. Pawan Kalyan performed special puja for his newly acquired vehicle “Vaarahi,” which he would be using for his upcoming poll campaign in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Unconfirmed reports said the Jana Sena Party chief is also contemplating taking part in “Raja Shyamala Yagam,” to be performed in Bhimavaram in West Godavari, in January end. This yagam, a special havan aimed at achieving power, was earlier performed by Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.

It is to be noted, the Pawan Kalyan led JanaSena Party is putting efforts to strengthen his party in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and contest the next elections.  When asked about any alliance for the elections, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said, “At present, we have an alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party.  My objective is to see that there is no split in the opposition vote.  If the BJP comes along with us, we will fight together.  Otherwise, we will have our own plans.”

In Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, elections are scheduled in 2023 and 2024, respectively.  All the political parties in the two Telugu states are making efforts to strengthen and secure as many votes and form their respective governments.
