Gautam Sawang, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 24th of January, reviewed all the arrangements for the 71st Republic Day celebrations.
The Republic Day celebrations are scheduled to be held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Vijayawada, A.P.
Gautam Sawang, who is supervising all the arrangements, instructed the A.P., officials to be on alert for the event.
Besides the A.P., Police, the Telangana Police would also take part in the celebrations on the 26th of January.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Bishwa Bhushan Harichandan, the Governor of A.P., would be the chief guests at the event.
Although the situation in Andhra Pradesh is tense due to the State capital issue, the 26th of January celebrations are expected to be held in a smooth way under the supervision of the A.P., Police.
A large number of police personnel were deployed at the event location. Initially, the event was scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam, but due to the ongoing capital issue, Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the celebrations would take place in Vijayawada.
The Republic Day 2020 celebrations in Andhra Pradesh would begin at 9:00 A.M.
