On the 5th of September, Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput’s house manager Samuel Miranda were announced to be in remand custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB.)

Since the drugs angle was explored in the recent Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) involved NCB also for the investigation.

According to the sources, Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda are under NCB remand till the 9th of September.

According to the NCB investigation, Showik would be confronted with his sister who would be summoned for questioning on the 6th of September.

Mutha Ashok Jain, the Deputy Director General Of South Western Region of NCB said, “We will be asking her (actor Rhea Chakraborty) to join the investigation.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Chakraborty and Mr. Miranda were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on the 4th of September.

Kaizen Ebrahim, also apprehended by the NCB on Friday, was sent to judicial custody for 14 days till September 19.

On Friday morning, teams of NCB searched the residences of Showik Chakraborty in Santa Cruz (West) area and Samuel Miranda in suburban Andheri (West) area, news agency PTI reported.

Rhea is the main accused in the death case of the 34 year old actor.

The case is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on money laundering charges and the NCB.

Rajput was found dead in his Bandra Mumbai apartment, Mumbai on the 14th of June.

Initially, the Mumbai suspected the case to be a suicide. However, later the CBI took over the case and started a fresh investigation.

The CBI, ED and NCB probe is underway.
