K. Laxman, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will continue his fast till the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) delivers justice for the intermediate board students.

Since the 20th of April, students who appeared for intermediate (Inter) 1st and 2nd year exams are protesting against the incorrect results declared by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE.)

According to sources, thousands of students who appeared for the 1st and 2nd year Inter exams were marked failed or absent. Approximately 6 students committed suicide after the results were released on the official website of the TSBIE website.

Both students and parents started a protest against the TSBIE and said the board was guilty of not declaring the right results. Many political parties and leaders used this issue to target the K.Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) led Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

K. Laxman said KCR was responsible for this goof up. Apart from placing all the blame on KCR, Laxman also asked the Government to take strict action against the authorities responsible.

Laxman was arrested on the 30th of April for voicing out his concern and fasting in support of the children who faced issues with the misvaluation.

Laxman addressed the media and said, “There is nothing which is more foolish than trying to suppress the voices demanding justice with arrests and crackdown on people.”

TSBIE released the inter results on its website on the 18th of April.

G. Jagadish Reddy, the Education Minister of Telangana said responding to the issue, “the fact finding committee is investigating the Inter results goof up and based on their report, the State Government will take action against the TSBIE, if the body is found guilty.”

Authorities are currently investing into the matter.

Stay tuned for further updates.
