The two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, recorded a total of 2,25,441 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
In the past few days, both the Telugu states reported a massive rise in the number of the Novel Coronavirus.
The State Health department confirmed a total of 1,58,764 cases of the Novel Coronavirus. Of the total 74,404 are active cases, 82,886 are recovered/discharged cases and 1,474 are deceased cases.
The top districts of Andhra Pradesh with the highest number of the active Novel Coronavirus cases are East Godavari with 8,496 cases, followed by Kurnool (8, 819) West Godavari (5,622) Visakhapatnam (9,456,) Guntur (7,120,) Anantapur (8,390) and Chittoor (5,647)
In addition, the mortality rate of COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh is 0.09% , the average growth rate of the infection is now 9.90% from the previous 11 %. The recovery rate now is reduced to 52 % from the previous 48.80 %.
Till the 2nd of August, Andhra Pradesh conducted a total of 20,65,407 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.
The total population of the State as per 2019 data is 5,22,21,000.
The Telangana Health department confirmed a total of 66,677 cases of the Novel Coronavirus.
According to the released media bulletin, Till 8:00 A.M., of the 2nd of August, the State has 18,547 active cases, 47,590 recovered/discharged cases and 540 deceased.
Despite a daily spike in the COVID-19 cases, Telangana has 71.40 % recovery rate, 2.80 % average growth of the COVID-19 cases, 0.80% mortality rate and 27.80 % active cases rate.
In addition, till date, the Telangana health authorities conducted 4,77,795 sample tests for COVID-19.
The total population of Telangana stands at 3,72,20,000.
