Dinesh Chowdary, a Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader, on the 9th of March, lodged a complaint against N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh (AP.)

The case was filed at the Sanjeeva Reddy (S.R.) Nagar Police Station in Hyderabad. According to the complaint, Mr. Naidu made an inappropriate comment regarding the TRS, the ruling Government of Telangana.

Mr. Chowdary said, Mr. Naidu made an objectionable comments stating, the TRS is acting like a terrorist group.

S. Murali Krishna, the Inspector of the S.R. Nagar Police Station, said, “We have sent the complaint for legal opinion.”

The complaint came after Chandrababu Naidu, on the 7th of March, deemed the Central Government and Telangana Government as ‘economic terrorists.’

Naidu also claimed, the Centre is misusing its power and targeting the corporate sectors by alleging them in false cases.

Recently, IT Grid Private Limited, the company which designed the Seva Mitra app for the TDP, was alleged of data theft. In this regard, a legal case was filed against the owner of the Company and the TDP members.

The heated exchange of allegations between the political parties is said to be due to the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, scheduled between April and May 2019.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats and the major parties contesting the Assembly elections are the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the TDP and the JanaSena Party.
