Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 10th of October, announced new health cards for the citizens of Andhra Pradesh.

As promised by Y.S. Jagan, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) would issue the new health cards from the 1st of December under the YSR Aarogyasri scheme.

The health scheme will also be applicable for the underprivileged citizens of Andhra Pradesh residing in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.  According to Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, approximately 150 super speciality hospitals in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai will provide health services to the AP people under the Aarogyasri scheme.

The health cards which will be issued to the people of AP will provide them with free medical treatments in any of these three cities, apart from the cities of AP.  Patients whose medical expenses exceed Rs. 1,000 are eligible for the benefits of the scheme with the help of the health card.

The announcement about the issuance of health cards came during the launch event of the Kanti Velugu scheme in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh.

On the 10th of October, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the Kanti Velugu scheme, under which the citizens of AP can get treated for eye related issues and injuries.

The health schemes of the YSRCP Government are expected to benefit approximately 5 crore people of Andhra Pradesh.
