Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) participated in the Independence Day celebrations organised at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada.
On the 15th of August, the 76th Independence of India, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy hoisted the national flag and received the police salute. Later, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy watched the parade in a specially decorated vehicle along with the Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary (CS) Mr. Sameer Sharma and the Director General of Police (DGP) Mr. Rajendranath Reddy.
During the celebrations, 12 contingents conducted parades and ten bands were performed.
On the other hand, the authorities have prepared a tableau from various departments for the demonstration.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Independence Day, the Andhra Pradesh Governor Mr. Biswabhushan Harichandan would host a reception dinner at Raj Bhavan at 5:30 P.M., on Monday in the name of At “Home Program.” The hosted dinner would be attended by Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and the ministers, leaders of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
It is to be noted, India is celebrating the 76th Independence Day with full enthusiasm, especially with the nation’s initiative of “Har Ghar Tiranga,” to mark the 75 years of Independence.
