YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-KCR To Meet And Discuss State Issues

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) and K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, are scheduled to meet on the 13th of January.    

Mr. Reddy, who is in Hyderabad on a three day tour since the 11th of January, is expected to meet KCR today at Pragathi Bhavan, Hyderabad, Telangana.

During the meeting, KCR and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would discuss pending issues related to both the Telugu states, A.P., and Telangana.  The major issues expected to be raised during the meeting are the division of employees, other assets and liabilities and a plan to share the water of Godavari River.

The diversion of the Godavari River’s water into the Srisailam Dam and the Krishna Basin Project is likely to be the highlight of the meeting.  This would be the fourth meeting between both the CMs regarding the Godavari water issue in A.P., and Telangana. Previously, KCR and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy met to conduct talks about the integration of the two rivers, the Krishna River and the Godavari River.  

Besides the internal issues of the two Telugu states, Jagan Mohan Reddy and K. Chandrashekar Rao are also expected to discuss national politics, the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and the National Register of Citizens (NRC.)

The meeting is scheduled to be held on the afternoon of the 13th of January.
