Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 19th of May, conducted a review meeting for opening full scale economic in Andhra Pradesh.

During  a video conference meeting, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the State Governent officials to review the opening of the state economic under Spandana Programme.

Mr. Jagan said that collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs) should supervise the restarting of the economy in the State.  All the stores is expected to open across the State from 7:00 A.M., to 7:00 P.M. Mr. Reddy applauded collectors and SPs for being in front to curb the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.

Mr. Reddy said, “You are my strength and we recognise you as fully capable people and have full trust and confidence in you.”

The Chief Minister asked the State collectors to take proper care of the shopping malls, movie theaters, religious events and seminars and start them soon.   Mr. Rao said, “”We have now entered the fourth phase of the lockdown. We will now have to follow a different approach unlike the previous one. The focus now will be on to re-start the economy. Without losing focusing on COVID-19 prevention measures, we also need to open the economy fully.”  He further said, “With public transport, autos, taxis and private vehicles to resume in the next two to three days, people should ensure taking proper care like wearing face masks, washing hands, sanitisation and follow social distancing norms. Since everything will be open now, we will have to live with  COVID-19. Discrimination, fear in the people should be eliminated and awareness should be spread among the people about the virus.”

Mr. Jagan pointed out that small shops in the state should be opened every day. Mr. Reddy emphasised the need of self reliant and the necessecity of living with the Novel Coronavirus,

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 2,489 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 till the 19th of May.
