Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is scheduled to tour Guntur on the 7th of November.
Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao, a Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) minister, on the 2nd of November, conducted a meeting at a local R&B guest house and confirmed the news.
The YSRCP workers and leaders of Guntur would be responsible for Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit. Rajani, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the YSRCP, Lella Appi Reddy, the Convener of the Agrigold Victims’ Basics Committee and Samuel Anandkumar, the District Collector of Guntur, are expected to supervise the arrangements.
According to sources, the Andhra Pradesh Government released an amount of Rs. 264.99 crores as the first instalment to be given to victims of the AgriGold scam.
In 2015, approximately 32 lakh people invested Rs. 7,000 crores in a company named AgriGold, which duped the people and escaped with their money.
The amount would be deposited in the accounts of approximately 19,751 people in Guntur and 3.69 lakh people in Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
