In the past few weeks, the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana witnessed a huge spike in the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infections.
With the highest growth rate, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have a total of 32,224 and 25,422 cases, respectively.
The rate growth of Coronavirus infection in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh stands at 6% each.
In regard to the increasing number of the deadly infection, the Telangana Government made a few changes in the treatment of the patients infected by the Novel Coronavirus.
On the 9th of July, Etela Rajender, the Health Minister of Telangana, briefed about the beds availability and hospitals situation and assured treatment to patients.
The State Government also directed the NIMS to make arrangements for the treatment of medical staff, government employees and doctors infected by the COVID-19 infection.
Mr. Rajender also urged fully recovered COVID-19 patients to come forward and donate plasma for the recovery of other patients.
As of now, Telangana has a total of 32,224 positive cases, of which 12,680 are active cases, 19,205 recovered/discharged and 339 deceased.
The State conducted as many as 1,51,109 sample tests for COVID-19 till date.
In Andhra Pradesh the Novel Coronavirus cases total reached to 25,422, of which 11,936 are active cases, 13,194 recovered/ discharged and 292 deceased.
The highest cases of the Novel Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh are from Kurnool (1,743,) followed by Anantapur (1,703,) Guntur (1,334) and Chittoor (1,057.)
Meanwhile, till the 11th of July, Andhra Pradesh conducted a total of 11,15,635 sample tests for COVID-19.
