Ghulam Nabi Azad, a senior leader of the Indian National Congress (INC) tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

On the 16th of October, Mr. Azad took to his Twitter handle and said, “I have tested positive for COVID-19. I am in home quarantine. Those who came in contact with me in (the) last few days may kindly follow the protocol. ”

Reports about Mr. Azad came in the afternoon of the 16th of October and he immediately went into home quarantine.

Mr. Azad also requested people who came in contact with him to get their COVID-19 test done.

Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad is also one of the star campaigners of the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections.

The Bihar Assembly Elections are scheduled to be held in three phases, starting from the 28th of October till the 7th of November.

The results of the Bihar Assembly Elections would be announced on the 10th of November.

Meanwhile, Mr. Azad is not the only INC leader who contracted the deadly COVID-19 infection.

In the past few days, INC leaders like Ahmed Patel, Motilal Vora and Abhishek Singhvi tested positive for COVID-19.

While Mr. Singhvi has recovered, other leaders are still under treatment.
