The Telangana Government, on the 12th of August, released fresh data regarding the availability of hospital beds for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 patients in the State.
From the past few days, along with the COVID-19 cases, the State Health Department is also releasing COVID-19 beds availability on a regular basis.
According to the released data, Around 17,782 beds are vacant in private teaching hospitals, private hospitals and government hospitals across Telangana
In government hospitals there are 5,822 vacant beds, while 3,327 beds are available in private hospitals.
Total beds in government and private teaching hospitals:
Isolation beds: 12,284 (available) 767 (occupied) and 11,517 (vacant.)
Oxygen Beds: 5,861(available) 1,447 (occupied) and 4,414 (vacant.)
ICU beds: 2,251(available) 400 (occupied) and 1,851 (vacant.)
Total: 20,396 (available) 2,614 (occupied) and 17,782 (vacant.)
Beds in government hospitals:
Isolation beds: 2,522 (total); 767 (occupied) and 1,755 (vacant)
Oxygen beds: 4,663(total,) 1,447 (occupied) and 3,316 (vacant.)
ICU beds with ventilators: 1,251 (total,) 400 (occupied) and 851 (vacant.)
Total: 8,436 (total,) 2,614 (occupied) and 5,822 (vacant.)
Beds in private hospitals:
Isolation beds: 3,093 (total,) 1,672 (occupied) and 1,421 (vacant.)
Oxygen beds: 3,166 (total,) 1,910 (occupied) and 1,256 (vacant.)
ICU beds: 1,516 (total,) 866 (occupied) and 650 (vacant.)
Total: 7,775 (total,) 4,448 (occupied) and 3,327 (vacant.)
The total number of beds increased with a few recent hospital launches across Telangana.
Meanwhile, on the 12th of August, with a total of 1,897 new cases, the COVID-19 cases crossed 84,000 in the State.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now 72.49 % from the previous 71.30%.
In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% and growth rate to 2.80 %.
