Telangana COVID-19 Cases Cross 4 Lakh Mark With 6,551 New Cases And 43 Deaths

Telangana’s Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases are rising rapidly with a massive single day surge.

According to the released media bulletin, the State reported 6,551 new COVID-19 cases. This is the 6th consecutive day, Telangana reported more than 5.5k cases of the deadly infection. Of the fresh cases, the highest spike reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) with 1,418 cases, followed by 554 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 482 from Rangareddy, 389 from Nizamabad, 368 from Sangareddy, 329 from Warangal Urban, 276 from Jagtial, 268 from Siddipet,

226 from Mahabubnagar, 222 from Karimnagar, 164 from Bhadradri, 152 from Mancherial, 138 from Mahabubabad, 137 from Vikarabad, 122 from Nagarkurnool, 121 from Siricilla, 118 from Khammam, 113 from Warangal Rural, 110 from Kamareddy, 96 from Wanaparthy, 90 from Nalgonda, 88 from Adilabad, 79 from Medak, 69 from Suryapet, 65 from Jangaon, 52 from Peddapalli, 57 each from Bhupalpally and Gadwal, 151 from Bhongir, 42 from Asifabad, 26 from Nirmal and 25 from Mulugu.

Besides 6,551 new cases, Telangana also reported 43 deaths and 3,804 people recovered/discharged from the Novel Coronavirus disease.

With the aforementioned data from the State media bulletin, the State has 4,01,783 positive cases, of which, 65,597 are active cases, 2,042 are decreased cases and 3,34,144 are recovered/discharged cases.

Telangana added one lakh cases in the last 49 days. On the 8th of March, the State had a daily spike of 100 cases only, which now stands at 5.5 k.  

In the past 24 hours, the State Medical Department conducted a total of 73,275 sample tests for COVId-19, taking the cumulative to 1,25,66,674 till date. In addition, the recovery rate of COVID-19 in Telangana dropped to 83.16 % from the previous 86%, and the fatality rate also is at 0.50 %.
