The Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases in Telangana are increasing rapidly, raising concerns about the situation.
According to the Telangana COVID- 19 bulletin, Telangana once again reported more than 1,000 new cases. On the night of the 4th of April, the Telangana Health Department released the bulletin and updated about the Novel Coronavirus. According to the bulletin, the State reported 1,097 new COVID-19 cases, 6 deaths and 268 recovered/discharged cases.
Of the total new cases, the highest number of 302 cases were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) followed by Medchal Malkajgiri with 138 cases, 116 from Rangareddy, 77 from Nizamabad, 42 from Nirmal, 38 from Karimnagar, 32 from Jagtial, 28 each from Kamareddy, Warangal Urban, 24 from Adilabad, 22 from Mahabubnagar, 18 each from Siddipet and Mancherial, 16 from Nalgonda, 15 each from Nagarkurnool and Rajanna Sircilla, 14 from Suryapet, 12 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 11 from Khammam, 9 from Vikarabad and 8 each from Jangaon and Medak. The remaining cases were 7 each from Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Bhongir and Mahabubabad, 6 each from Jogulamba Gadwal, Peddapalli and Wanaparthy, 5 each from Narayanpet and Bhadradri Kothagudem, 4 from Komarambheem Asifabad, one from Mulugu
With the aforementioned data, Telangana registered 3,13,237 positive cases, of which 3,02,768 are recovered/discharged cases, 8,746 are active cases and 1,732 deceased cases.
In addition, between the 3rd and the 4th of April, Telangana conducted 43,070 sample tests for the Novel Coronavirus. With this, the cumulative total is at 1,04,35,997 till date in Telangana.
Telangana has a recovery rate of 97 % and fatality rate is at 0.55 %.
