On the 19th of October, Telangana recorded 2,22,111 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
On the night of the 18th of October, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin, updating about the COVID-19 situation.
According to the bulletin, Telangana reported 1,436 new COVID-19 cases with 6 fatalities and 2,154 recoveries in the past 24 hours.
Of the new 1,436 new cases, the highest number of cases were reported from the areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) 249 cases, followed by Ranga Reddy (110,) Medchal Malkajgiri (105,) 78 Khammam and 77 Bhadradri Kothagudem.
In addition, the State Health Department conducted as many as 41,403 tests for the Novel Coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. The total of COVID-19 tests conducted in Telangana till date stand at 38,30,503.
With these updates, Telangana has a total of 2,22,111 positive cases, of which 22,050 are active cases, 1,98,790 are recovered/discharged cases and 1,271 deceased cases.
In addition, Telangana repprted 89.50 % recovery rate and 0.57 % fatality rate.
