Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s mother, Ms. Aruna Bhatia, passed away on the 8th of September.
Ms. Aruna Bhatia was admitted to Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital and died due to prolonged illness. She was in the intensive care unit (ICU) since the 3rd of September and took her last breath today morning. Ms. Aruna Bhatia was critical since the past few days, following which Akshay Kumar halted his film shoot in the United Kingdom (U.K.,) and flew back to India to be with his mother. He was shooting for his upcoming film Cinderella, and came back to India on the 6th of September.
Yesterday, the 7th of September, ‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar took to the micro blogging platform, Twitter and expressed gratitude to the fans who showed concern to Akshay Kumar’s mother and prayed for her recovery.
The tweet, Mr. Akshay posted yesterday, read, “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help.”

Just a day after the heartfelt message to fans, Akshay Kumar lost his mother. Informing about the demise of her mother, Mr. Akshay Kumar wrote an emotional message. His Instagram and Twitter post about his mother’s death, read, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”

Upon hearing the demise of Bollywood actor’s mother, celebrities and actors took to Twitter and expressed condolences to Akshay Kumar.
Meanwhile, the last rites of Ms. Aruna Bhatia is expected to be held on the 8th of September.
