Bollywood actress Ms. Anushka Sharma, on the 24th of January, Monday, issued a statement over her daughter Vamika’s pictures going viral.
Recently, on the 23rd of January, Sunday, Ms. Anushka Sharma and Mr. Virat Kohli’s one year old daughter Vamika was photographed at a cricket stadium in Africa. The actress with her daughter was witnessing the India v/s South Africa match, cheering for Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli who hit a half century in the match. During the event, a South African media house captured the photograph of Vamika, which was then published in an African publication.
A day after the photograph went viral on social media platform, the actress took to her Instagram handle and posted a story. In her story, Ms. Anushka wrote, “Hi guys! We realise that our daughter’s images were captured at the stadium yesterday and widely shared thereafter. We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didn’t know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stays the same. We would really appreciate (it) if Vamika’s images are not clicked/published for reasons we have explained earlier. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, Indian fans and Suppritere of #Virushka (Virat and Anushka) criticised the South African broadcaster for revealing the pictures of Vamika, without her parent’s permission.
Notably, Cricketer Mr. Virat Kohli and Actress Ms. Anushka Sharma have decided to raise their daughter without any publicity. Hence, the couple is refraining to reveal her identity on social media platforms. Although, the actress, who welcomed Vamika in January 2021, has shared a handful of posts featuring her daughter, with Vamika’s face hidden.
