A police case has been registered against Bollywood actress kareena Kapoor Khan over her pregnancy Bible. Recently, on the 9th of July, Kareena Kapoor Khan, released her book for motherhood and pregnancy journey and titled the book as “Pregnancy Bible.”
Calling this book her third child, the actress revealed about her pregnancy journey and what she has been through, for other mothers. The book is co authored by Aditi Shah Bhimjani and published by Juggernaut Books.
However, the actor’s pregnancy Bible has hurt religious sentiments of Christians. Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh, a Christian group, filed a police complaint against her in Beed, a city in Maharashtra. The President of the Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh Ashish Shinde submitted the complaint at the Shivaji Nagar Police Station and objected to the title of the book, ‘Pregnancy Bible.’ Ashish Shinde said, the use of the word ‘Bible’ in the title has hurt the religious sentiments of Christians.
According to sources, the complainant asked to register the case under section 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)
Besides Kareena Kapoor Khan, co author Aditi Shah Bhimjani and the publication house has also been named in the complaint.
Although the police registered the complaint, a First Information Report (FIR) is not registered yet. The Shivaji Nagar Police Station in charge Inspector Sainath Thombre said, “We have received the complaint but no case can be registered here as the incident has not happened here (in Beed). I have advised him to file a complaint in Mumbai.”
A police complaint in Mumbai Police Station is yet to filed, as there is no update from the Christian group regarding the FIR with the Mumbai Police.
Meanwhile, the actress recently gave birth to her second child named Jeh, and is now mother of two children, Taimur and Jeh.
Highlighting upcoming work of the Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor Khan is going to be seen in Aamir Khan’s upcoming movie Laal Singh Chadha, likely to be released this Christmas.
