Mumbai: On Thursday, the country was abuzz with the rumours of demise of veteran filmmaker Mrinal Sen. However, his family rubbished all the reports stating that he is absolutely fine and is having tea. The family members of the film director informed the same to ANI.
A tweet from ANI reads, “News(passing away) is false, he is absolutely fine and having tea right now: Legendary filmmaker Mrinal Sen’s family.”
Known for his plots and art of story-telling, Mrinal Sen rose to fame and carved a niche for himself in the Indian cinema. He is one of the most acclaimed filmmakers and his movies also won awards in the Nation and abroad as well. The government of french also awarded him the Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters.
