IIFA 2015: Kangana Ranaut’s “Queen” wins hearts

Kuala Lumpur: Actress Kangana Ranaut’s “Queen” once again won the hearts by grabbing the Best performance in a leading role -female, Best Picture and Best story awards at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) 2015. However, Kangana failed to attend the star-studded event, so the director of the film collected the trophy on behalf of her.

The three-day long award ceremony in Malaysia witnessed many stellar performances of the A-list stars of B-wood. The stars also redefined their fashion statements with the best attires.

Actor Shahid Kapoor, who delivered a brilliant performance in “Haider”, received the award for his performance. Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani walked home with the award for movie “PK”, starring Aamir Khan in a lead role.

‘Golden Girl’ Deepika Padukone received the Woman of the Year Award and Riteish Deshmukh bagged the Best Performance in a Supporting Role – male award for his action in “Ek Villain”. Actress Tabu won the award for Performance in a Supporting Role – female. Kay Kay bagged the award for Best Performance in a Negative Role for ‘Haider’. Actor Varun Dhawan won the Best Performance in a Comic Role award.

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy won the Best Music Direction award for romantic film “2 States”. Singer Kanika Kapoor won the award for the film “Ragini MMS 2”. Actors Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon won awards for Best Debut. Director Omung Kumar bagged the Best Debut Direction award for ‘Mary Kom’.
