Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez opened up about conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar and said, he played with her emotion and made her life hell.
Ms. Jacqueline Fernandez, who is allegedly involved with conman Sukesh in Rs. 200 crore extortion case, shared her feelings in the Delhi High Court, where the case is pending. She said, “Her instincts told her that she is being taken for a ride when his aide Pinky Irani introduced him to her as a government official.”
It is to be noted, conman Sukesh Chandrashekar duped Rs. 200 crores from Ms. Aditi Singh, the wife of Mr. Shivinder Mohan Singh, who is the owner of former pharma company Ranbaxy. According to the Enforcement Directorate (ED,) some share of Rs. 200 crores have been transferred to Ms. Jacqueline Fernandez. Sukesh also sent Ms. Jacqueline expensive gifts and a private chartered for Mumbai to Chennai travel.
During a court hearing, Jacqueline Fernandez said Sukesh Chandrashekar introduced himself as the owner of Sun TV and claimed (late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister) Ms. J. Jayalalithaa was his aunt. In the court, Ms. Jacqueline said, “Chandrashekhar said he was a big fan, and said I should do films in south India too, and as the owner of Sun TV, they had many projects lined up. We should try to work together in south Indian movies. Sukesh misled me, ruined my career and my livelihood.”
Telling her side of the story, Ms. Jacqueline Fernandez said she did not know anything about the background of Sukesh Chandrashekhar and got to know about her criminal background later. It is to be noted, conman Sukesh is a wanted criminal who extorted money from people impersonating as government officials of Law and Home Ministry.
Blaming Pinky Irani for misleading her, Ms. Jacqueline Fernandez said, “Pinky Irani was aware of Chandrashekhar’s activity and background. But she never disclosed this to me.”
The statements were made during a court hearing, as the actress Ms. Jacqueline Fernandez moved the Delhi High Court, seeking permission to travel to Dubai, for work purposes.
