Akkineni Nagarjuna is all set to make his Bollywood comeback with Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.
On the 21st of November, Tollywood superstar Nagarjuna’s role in the movie was revealed. In the first part of the science fiction fantasy trilogy Brahmastra, Nagarjuna would play the role of an archaeologist.
According to sources, Nagarjuna already shot his part at Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Chet Singh Fort and on the banks of Ganga.
Karan Johar posted a tweet and revealed Nagarjuna’s role. The tweet read, “We are honoured and exceptionally excited to have the only @iamnagarjuna doing an extremely “special” role in our film #BRAHMASTRA !! Directed by Ayan Mukerji @SrBachchan @aliaa08 #RanbirKapoor …thank you, sir, for your love and your beautiful energy!”
Nagarjuna’s role is said to be crucial to the story of Brahmastra.
Nagarjuna’s fans would be very excited to see him in a Bollywood movie after 15 years.
Nagarjuna’s last Bollywood movie was LOC Kargil, released in 2003.
Brahmastra stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead. Other actors in the movie are Saurav Gurjar, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna.
This is the second time Nagarjuna would share the screen with Amitabh Bachchan. Nagarjuna previously worked with Amitabh Bachchan on Khuda Gawah (1992.)
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Brahmastra is expected to be released during Summer 2020.
