Organised by the Motion Picture Academy, the Oscar Awards 2021, would be an in person event instead of a virtual celebration.
The 93rd Academy Award ceremony, is organised to appreciate the best films released between 2020 January and 2021 February.
According to sources, the Motion Picture Academy is exploring ways to organise an in person Oscar ceremony amid the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
The Oscars 2021, or formally known as the Academy Awards, are likely to be held on the 25th of April 2021.
The decision to plan the Oscars in April 2021, would give more chances to other films to compete in the competition.
The Oscar ceremony is an annual celebration to appreciate the best films in several genres. There are 23 categories which are awarded for the Oscars.
The Oscar event is traditionally organised at the 3,400 seat Dolby Theatre, in Los Angeles, United States of America (U.S.A.)
However, this year due to the pandemic and U.S.A., being the top worst COVID-19 hit nation, it is difficult to say about the arrangements of the Oscar event.
A source close to the progress of Oscar 2021, said, “The Academy has done a walkthrough of the Dolby recently to see all the multiple options.”
The details of the 2021 Academy Awards are yet to be revealed, as safety protocols, introduction of the ceremony, invitees, guests and other guidelines is not clear.
However, an official announcement regarding the 2021 Oscar ceremony, whether it would be a virtual event or would be in person, is yet to be made.
